AC/DC motor and stator rewinding
We rewind and repair AC and DC motors and stators up to 500 HP, on LT and on HT up to 11 kV. Every rewind uses dual-coated super-enamelled copper wire, fibreglass sleeves, F-class insulating material and varnish, and is tested before it goes back.
Who it's for
Plants that can't afford a long stoppage: cane carriers, pumps, fans and process drives in sugar factories, distilleries, dairies and engineering units.

The tests we run, and what each one tells you
Our rewinds use dual-coated super-enamelled copper wire, fibreglass sleeves, F-class insulating material and varnish. Before a machine goes back, it's tested:
- AC/DC Hi-Pot test
- A voltage well above normal running voltage is applied between the winding and the frame for a set time. It confirms the insulation can take electrical stress without breaking down.
- Surge comparison test
- Fast voltage pulses are sent into each phase and the waveforms are compared. It shows turn-to-turn and phase faults that a simple insulation-resistance reading can miss.
- Tan Delta test
- Measures the dielectric loss in the insulation, mostly on HT machines and transformers. A rising value points to ageing, moisture or contamination.
- PI (polarisation index) test
- The insulation resistance after 10 minutes divided by the reading after 1 minute (IEEE 43). A low ratio suggests moisture or dirt in the winding.
What each test shows is general background, summarised from the EASA summary of IEEE 43 and standard practice (as of October 2026).
